EA has released new commissioner tools

The report was a source of attention in part because franchise mode is a major issue with some Madden players. Indeed, the promised roadmap was initially a response to the campaign #fixmaddenfranchise that was circulating on Twitter in the middle of 2020. It was initiated following reports that EA did not plan improvements to franchise mode in the year prior.

Since the time, EA has released new commissioner tools as well as other upgrades which include a complete overhaul of its scouting systems. Madden 22 also introduced an expanded scenario engine, cutscenes during the season, and coaching skill trees. Yet, fans continue to identify various areas in which franchise mode may be better compared to the competition, in spite of the lack of customization to the myriad bugs.

Although EA Sports wouldn't provide any additional details, additional improvements are scheduled for in the near future. The changes could include franchise relocation changes promised in the initial plan in Madden 22. Expect more details in 2022.
